This paper aims to outline the transition of two libraries from one automated interlending system (OCLC VDX) to another (Relais ILL).

The paper provides historical background and context for the change, the transition planning, processes undertaken to ensure success, and the challenges and lessons learned along the way.

The authors report that, although the transition process went fairly smoothly, libraries planning for a similar transition should build some flexibility into their overall planning process and be prepared to pay close attention to their communication processes.

Libraries planning a transition from one interlending system to another will find this paper quite useful. Any library using either the VDX or Relais interlibrary systems will find the appendix of comparable ISO ILL terminology helpful as well.

There is a move to make primary care models of mental health care more accessible to people with intellectual disabilities (IAPT, 2009) but little evidence of their ability of services to make the necessary reasonable adjustments or their effectiveness (Dodd et al., 2011). The purpose of this paper is to describe a pilot project to evaluate an anxiety management group co-facilitated by Least Intervention First Time (LIFT) Psychology and Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD) services.

Five people attended a nine-week anxiety management group, adapted from a course offered by LIFT services. The Glasgow Anxiety Scale (GAS-ID) and a skills and knowledge assessment were completed pre-group, post-group and follow-up to evaluate outcome and consider the ability of LIFT to make reasonable adjustments to deliver effective services for people with intellectual disabilities.

Participants showed no significant reduction in anxiety levels but improvements in their skills and knowledge. An evaluation of the adjustments to make the group accessible for people with intellectual disabilities identified that some were feasible if offering the group on a long-term basis, and others were not. The viability of future groups is considered.

The paper looks at the viability of making reasonable adjustments to psychoeducational groups within Improving Access to Psychological Therapies services to better meet the needs of people with intellectual disabilities, an area of limited research. It raises dilemmas and considerations for the future development of such services.

The purpose of this paper is to conduct a preliminary evaluation of a Violent Offender Treatment Program (VOTP) adapted for use in a medium secure unit (MSU). The patient population is adult male mentally disordered offenders.

Patient outcomes are explored using the Reliable Change Index and Clinical Significance Criterion. Outcomes are assessed using VOTP facilitators violence risk assessment (VRS), multi-disciplinary team violence risk assessment (HCR-20 and GAS-V), and patient self-report using two measures (FAVT and STAXI-2).

There was evidence of improved outcomes for some participants in some areas related to risk of violence.

Consideration is given to using varied risk assessments to evaluate outcomes of an adapted VOTP for a MSU.

There is limited development and evaluation of psychological treatment programmes that aim to reduce risk of violence for male offenders within MSUs. Outcomes of this evaluation could influence treatment delivery and evaluation in other services.

Provision of comprehensive diversion services for the mentally disordered who come into conflict with the law offers benefits for patients and all those involved in the process, including the police, crown prosecution service and other agencies. It gives access to the most appropriate disposal for this vulnerable group. This case study of a man who had multiple contacts with the diversion services in Birmingham illustrates the particular difficulties associated with diversion from custody for mentally disordered individuals, particularly where there are multiple problem areas. Examination of the case suggests that in spite of inter‐agency commitment to the philosophy of diversion, in some instances a period spent in custody is unavoidable.

This study aims to develop a database of existing academic information in house purchase decision (HPD) using systematic literature review (SLR), to facilitate worldwide advancement of research under HPD domain.

This research examined papers from two reputable databases – Scopus and Google Scholar – from 1992 to 2022 using a scoping review technique (Arksey and O’Malley, 2005) and a theme analysis method. Out of 374, 181 articles fit the inclusion parameters and were evaluated using the theme analysis approach.

Data from 181 articles was evaluated thematically to create a thematic map of HPD research. Five main themes and their sub-themes were identified: consumer behaviour, housing attributes, factors influencing purchasing decisions, investment analysis and demographics, which proved essential in understanding HPD and customer preferences for house purchase.

This SLR intends to provide useful new insights on consumer concerns about home purchases in the rapidly developing residential real estate market and the issues that marketers, housing sector stakeholders, real estate industry and existing and future researchers should prioritize.

This research is unique such that it is the only 30-year-long SLR on the subject matter of HPD. This paper makes a significant contribution to residential real estate domain signifying the present state of research in HPD.
